This September we’re heading back to the MCG for the annual Victorian Chamber Pitcher Partners Grand Final Lunch. AFL stars Jarryd Roughead, Chris Judd and Mick Malthouse will join broadcaster Hamish McLachlan in a compelling conversation about the highs of winning and the lows of losing a Grand Final. These experiences translate directly to success and downturns in business.
In addition to the panel, Moana Hope from AFLW Collingwood will join Hamish for a discussion around the inaugural 2017 AFLW season.
Entertain your clients and staff over canapés, a two-course premium lunch and drinks in the Olympic Room while overlooking the hallowed turf of the MCG just days before the Grand Final. It’s the next best thing to being at the game!
Plus, this year we have extended this sell-out event an extra hour with networking drinks in the Betty Cuthbert Lounge following lunch from 3pm – 4pm. Tickets are strictly limited and will sell out, so reserve yours now.
MEET THE PANEL SPEAKERS
Drafted in 2004 by Hawthorn, Jarryd Roughead is one of the AFL’s cult heroes and has carved a place amongst the competition’s elite as an athletic forward. Captaining the Hawks since 2017, Roughead has played four Premierships with the club and has won the Coleman medal, been runner up in the Hawks Best and Fairest and named an All-Australian twice.
One of the game's greatest ever players, Chris Judd won nearly every individual and team accolade the sport had to offer over an outstanding 14-year AFL career, first with the West Coast Eagles, and subsequently with Carlton. At his peak, from his breakout Brownlow medal-winning season in 2004 to late 2011, he was the outstanding player in the competition. In that eight-season stretch he won two Brownlow medals, five club best and fairest awards, six All-Australian jumpers, two Most Valuable Player awards (the Leigh Matthews Trophy) as judged by his peers, captained a Premiership team, and won a Norm Smith medal, in addition to numerous media awards.
Michael "Mick" Malthouse is a former Australian rules footballer and former Australian Football League coach and current media personality. Although his playing career included a Premiership for Richmond in 1980, he is best known for his long coaching career at four clubs.
After beginning as a coach with Footscray in 1984, Malthouse became the most successful coach in the history of the West Coast Eagles, holding several club coaching records including the most Grand Final appearances, most Premierships, as well as the highest win ratio.
Malthouse then coached Collingwood to Grand Finals in 2002, 2003, 2010 and 2011; with success in the 2010 Grand Final Replay. He spent 2.5 seasons as the senior coach of Carlton from 2013 until mid-2015.
