Join us for an insightful and interactive workshop to learn about the common problems we find in workers’ compensation systems, and more importantly, what we recommend to fix them.

OHS isn’t the only management system that can benefit from a comprehensive, independent review. Our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Consultants are frequently engaged to review how effectively a business is managing workers’ compensation. Whether it’s a spiralling premium, challenging claims or a poor agent relationship, we assess workers’ compensation systems from top to bottom and provide our clients with practical guidance on how they might turn the situation around. We’d like to share our experience with you.

The topics that we will cover in this session include:

Premium:

We will discuss how premium payments can be structured and managed within businesses, and the importance of workers’ compensation literacy across management levels. Do managers understand how return to work decisions affect premium costs? Are there structural incentives in place to ensure managers are prioritizing prevention and early intervention? How effective is your reporting?

Claims:

What are the common problems that our clients encounter when managing claims? We will discuss strategies for managing ‘stuck’ claims, how to get the best out or your agent, and best practice during the critical early stages of injury management.

Policies and procedures:

We will describe the most common gaps we find in policies and procedures, and how well written policy can potentially impact liability decisions in psychological injury claims.

Resources:

Workers’ compensation management demands a diverse range of skills. We will discuss what we look for when analysing our clients’ internal resourcing, as well as our most frequent recommendations.

Whether you an experienced workers’ compensation practitioner, or grappling with the complexities of the system, we invite you to attend one of these informative sessions, share your own experiences, and walk away with some new ideas.
