The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Victoria’s largest and most influential business group. The Victorian Chamber supports businesses to succeed on two fronts. About the role
The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been contracted by the Australian Government to provide Australian Apprenticeships Support Services across Victoria since 1998 and now forms part of a newly formed national company, Apprenticeship Support Australia as part of the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN).
Apprenticeship Support Australia builds on the existing apprenticeship model to provide skills development advice and solutions to businesses across Australia combining the 60 years collective experience of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Victoria Australian Business Apprenticeships Centre in NSW, CCI Apprenticeship Solutions in Western Australia and Business South Australia’s Australian Apprenticeships Centre.
Powered by the Chamber movement, we are committed to building a better Australia by playing a pivotal role in promoting participation in and increasing completion of vocational education and training programs, including apprenticeships and traineeships across Australia.
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Industry Training Consultant with strong business development and relationship building skills, who is passionate about providing a quality service to employers and their apprentices and trainees. This role will have you conducting face-to-face Australian Apprenticeship Training Contract sign-ups in the workplace as well as providing advice and guidance on career options and other VET employment pathways. You will also conduct marketing activities to raise awareness and promote the benefits of the Australian Apprenticeships and VET opportunities to stakeholders as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders such as Employment Service Providers, Registered Training Organisations and TAFEs.
This position would be well suited to an organised individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. You will also have:
• Comprehensive knowledge of the apprenticeship and traineeship training programs, and broader VET experience will be highly regarded
• Experience in business development with marketing capabilities being highly regarded
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office suite as well as computer based databases.
