The Victorian Chamber welcomed a prominent business delegation from the Sichuan Province this week. Off the back of the recent signing of the new sister-state relationship between Victoria and Sichuan, the Chamber took the opportunity to sign an agreement between the Sichuan Federation of Industry and Commerce to foster closer business to business ties. Directors and CEOs from 15 Sichuan companies were welcomed to the Victorian Chamber’s head office and engaged in business matching with local companies.
One Victorian business commented that she had attended the event because she needed to ‘keep [their] China business plan on track’ and that events such as this one allowed her to ‘maintain momentum, meet new Chinese companies and explore opportunities for collaboration and investment’.
