October is Health and Safety Month

Submitted on Wednesday, 27th September 2017

October is Health and Safety Month and provides the perfect opportunity to focus on and discuss safety in your workplace. Make sure that your safety processes and practices are up to date to protect both the mental and physical wellbeing of your employees.

During health and safety month, the Victorian Chamber has a broad range of OHS training programs on offer for managers, health and safety representatives (HSR) and team members, from our HSE Masterclass to Mental Health First Aid to the HSR initial OHS training course.  Attend our public courses, or, if you have 5 or more employees that need training, it can be more cost effective for a trainer to come to your site and provide a tailored service. .

Our health and safety experts can also come out to your workplace and provide assistance to improve your safety standards through the FREE WorkSafe OHS Essentials program (where eligible), or through our consulting services. Whether you need to develop new policies and procedures or just want to check that your management system is up to date and effective, we can help.

WorkSafe Victoria is also offering a broad range of programs across the state, including their annual health and safety representative conference. Register for events at https://www.worksafe.vic.gov.au/worksafemonth/events/melbourne-2017

Contact the Victorian Chamber health, safety and wellbeing consultants to discuss your safety concerns or needs on 03 8662 5333 or hsw@victorianchamber.com.au.
