It is the only mental health organisation that partners with superannuation funds and group life insurers to gain knowledge of the industry’s unique needs and respond with tailored solutions. SuperFriend aims to reduce the incidence of suicide and the impact of mental illness on individuals, employers, workplaces, families and friends. Sarah Morrison – Workplace and Community Engagement Manager, Mental Health First Aid Australia
Sarah is the Workplace and Community Engagement Manager at Mental Health First Aid Australia, a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health training and research. Mental Health First Aid Australia's vision is a community where everyone has the first aid skills to support people with mental health problems. Sarah is an experienced HR professional, specialising in learning and development, and workplace health and wellbeing. She is passionate about creating workplaces where people can thrive and achieve. She has a Masters in Human Resources Management, and is an accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor and wellness coach.
Dr Nic Vogelpoel – Global Lead for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, Movember Foundation
The Movember Foundation’s mission is to stop men dying too young. They are the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year-round. Nic oversees Movember’s workplace mental health programs and its work with indigenous communities promoting mental health and suicide prevention. Nic has previously worked for global foundations and international development charities in the UK, focused on biomedical research and public health, and has held leadership roles for disability charities in Australia and the UK. Nic has a PhD in Health Promotion and Evaluation from QUT, and undertook postdoctoral research at UCL.
