Risk can be simply defined as an event or circumstance that can have a negative impact on an organisation or a business in terms of economic performance, professional reputation and safety, environmental and social outcomes.
But are all risks created equal? Will they all harm your organisation in some way? Or could some risks be critical for the success of your organisation?
This course will help you clarify these answers and provide you with the skills and knowledge required to manage risks effectively in a range of contexts across an organisation or for a specific business unit or area, in any industry setting.

This course is suitable for people who are working in positions of authority and are approved to implement change across the organisation, business unit, and program or project area. They may or may not have responsibility for directly supervising others.
Participants have the option to complete a post-course assessment, within three months from the date of the course.
If you successfully complete the post-course assessment, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency BSBRSK501 Manage Risk. This will give you credit into the Diploma of Leadership and Management and a range of other similar level qualifications.
