Liquor and Gaming Regulation Changes

Businesses with liquor or gaming licenses need to be aware of a number of changes to regulation that commenced in September and October this year.

It is the responsibility of licensed businesses to ensure they understand their obligations and to make the necessary arrangements to ensure they remain compliant.

These changes relate to matters including:

  • Offences for supplying liquor to a minor
  • Requirements for cash facilities and cheque cashing services at gaming venues
  • The grant, variation, relocation and transfer of liquor licences.

The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation has published a variety of resources on its website providing detailed information on the changes, available here (liquor) and here (gaming).
