Can your business or region access the skilled workers it needs? Have your say!

The Federal Government is reviewing the skilled migration occupation lists used in the national skilled migration system to ensure it is responsive to genuine skill needs and regional variations across Australia.

Occupation lists underpin a range of employer sponsored, points tested, and state nominated visa programs, and are increasingly used by the Government to formulate other labour market programs as well.

This review will inform the next update to the lists in March 2020 and the consultation stage is crucial, particularly for regional areas.

Make sure you have your say so that the skills needed in your business or region are considered.

The Department of Employment and Skills have indicated they will hold regional roundtables if there is sufficient business interest. Please let us know if you would like to participate in one in your region.
